| The Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill January 20, 2007 We rented The Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill, a documentary I'd been looking forward to since it hit theaters in 2003. It's the story about a man who befriended and cared for the wild parrots in SF, until he had to move out of his home. For me, the parrots are a SF icon. I'd seen and heard them in the park near the offices I'd worked in from 1998-2002, long before this movie came out. The story is touching, heart-warming and heart-breaking, and we were charmed by the different personalities in the birds. Kitty seemed to enjoy the movie as well! |
![]() Kitty actually napped through the movie, so he didn't notice the birds until we were watching the DVD extras. |
![]() Going in for the catch. |
![]() Up close and personal. |
![]() Maybe I'll have better luck sitting next to the TV. |
![]() Man, that's a BIG BIRD! |
![]() If I could only reach inside the TV. |
![]() This just seems cruel! (but so entertaining for the humans!) |
