| A Turtle Named Kitty July 15-17, 2006 Meet the newest addition to our zoo! Following the pet-naming convention in this household, I've named this little dude Kitty. Just about the size of a half dollar, this baby red-eared slider came to us via Chinatown. Upon further research, I discovered it is actually illegal to sell turtles this small, but now that he's mine, I figure I can give him a better home than he'd have back in a Chinatown novelties shop, or in the hands of a family with young children. So take a peek at our little baby, I'm a very proud mom! |
