Puerto Rico, Day 2

January 3, 2008

Our 2nd day in Rincon started with a swim. We’d heard reports of a rainy weekend, and we were determined to get the most from the sunny morning. We attempted snorkeling at another beach, just up the coast, but the weather quickly turned on us, and the water became wavy and not very clear for watching fish. Before the rain started, I was able to capture a few underwater shots with my fancy new waterproof case. And of course, we ended the day with a fantastic sunset.

I stalked this school of fish for that perfect shot. This is as good as it got.

Once the storm started, the sky (and the water) got dark, and the water became choppy and picked up lots of sand, making it tough to see anything under water.

Back at the apartment, we saw this gorgeous rainbow.

Our Puerto Rican Holiday

After having visited both of our families in November, we decided to spend the holidays on the beach. We flew to Aguadilla, Puerto Rico the night of Christmas, heading for Rincon, a surf town on the west coast of the island. We would be staying in a great little apartment right on Corcega Beach. We spent our first day doing little more than relaxing on the beach, swimming, and enjoying the perfect weather.
