The trees haven’t even lost all their leaves yet, in fact, our streets still looked like autumn yesterday. But this morning we woke up to snow. It’s only December 2nd. Does this mean we’re in for an extra cold winter? Ugh.

The view to the backyard was rather bleak.
I suffer through the nasty summers and brutal winters so that I can experience the gorgeous autumn in NY. Due to all my recent travels, I didn’t get to go hiking to see all the colors this year, but my own neighborhood is also quite colorful. This makes the other seasons worth it.
I saw this upturned cockroach one night on my way back from a stroll. (I couldn’t quite bring myself to flip it right-side up.)
Last Saturday was a perfect summer day, sunny and beautiful, no humidity. On a stroll through Brooklyn, I stumbled on these little gardens in front of a school. The signs the kids made were charming and funny.
