According to Mayor Bloomberg, we’ve had record snow for January, and we’re not done yet. It’s snowing as I post these photos of the aftermath of Wednesday night’s thundersnow storm. I know people are sick of it, but I am still charmed by the beauty of it. Not so much by the mess on the streets, but in my backyard and in the park, it’s pretty cool.

My landlord shoveled the walkway from my building to the main building first thing in the morning. According to the news, we got about 19″ of snow from the latest storm.

The snow plows missed my street. Same thing for my office street, half of which was covered by a 4″ thick, solid ice skating rink.

Central Park is a winter wonderland under all this snow.
