Once again, I dragged myself out of bed early on a Saturday morning and headed to Times Square for the 2009 Revlon 5K Run/Walk. It was another great event with thousands of participants and a few celebs on hand to get everyone excited for the cause. Next up: Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in the fall!
Jimmy Fallon was the final celebrity speaker before the race started.

I am thrilled to announce I am the newest Auntie on the block! My beautiful sister-in-law Deirdre gave birth to my nephew, Corin James Louie, just a couple days ago. It was the perfect way to cap off a very exciting week, and I can’t tell you how proud I am of my little brother. Of all the big things he’s accomplished and done in his life, this is by far the most important, and I know he and Deirdre will be amazing parents. Corin is definitely living in the digital age - he and I had our first video conference yesterday, less than 24 hours after his birth. I’m excited to have many more of these with my new nephew, and I look forward to meeting him in person very soon. Congrats to the happy parents, and to my own parents on their new grandson!

This is a big year for my college roommates. Alma recently got engaged and will be married this summer, and Dale just gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, Avery Elizabeth. Congrats to Mommy Dale, Daddy Ken and big brother Ethan!

My friends Ashley and Maciej welcomed their first child on Earth Day. This day could not have been more appropriate for these world travelers (twice!) and nature lovers. Rai Sequoia was born on April 22, more than two weeks before his due date, but healthy and strong, just like his name suggests. I can’t wait to go home this summer to meet this little guy!
