Last week’s lightning storm was pretty amazing, lighting up the sky every few seconds. Luckily I was safe and cozy inside my apartment, as it seems that the likelihood of being hit by lightning might increase greatly with such rapid fire! I did manage to catch some of the light show on my camera, check it out.
OK, maybe not the actual sky, but this is what I saw in the bathroom this morning. So I guess just the bathroom’s sky. Water drips down every time the upstairs neighbors flush the toilet or take a shower or bath. This will be fun to clean up!
A couple weeks ago, we went to Hudson River Park and enjoyed the sunset over New Jersey. The sky was actually a brilliant shade of red, but somehow my camera failed to pick up on that. Still, it was a lovely evening.
Every summer, the neighbors in the building next door have erected an inflatable pool. One year, they left it up for so long, the water turned a lovely shade of green. Another year, they let it sit, deflated, into the winter months, so the shallow pool froze into an ice skating pond for the local squirrels. It’s nice to see they have not failed us this year. We can’t wait to see what becomes of this one.
