I saw this sign on the sidewalk, next to a dumpster in Soho. Only in NYC.
Phoenix Flora
On our hike up Camelback Mountain, we saw a lot of cool cactii and other plants. Some seemed to be suffering from the extra long drought the area experienced this year, so I’m sure the previous night’s rain was quite welcome.

Conquering Camelback Mountain
I tagged along with Matthew on his business trip to Phoenix last weekend. We were nervous about the weather reports of chilly, rainy days. Luckily Saturday stayed dry, and we were able to check out one of the most popular hikes in the area, Camelback Mountain. The path up to the summit is pretty vertical, making it quite a challenge, but when we arrived at the top, so we were treated to panoramic views of Phoenix and Scottsdale.

Parts of the hike were so vertical, it was more like rock climbing.

Three army helicopters flew by as we were admiring the view.

Last amazing shot from the summit before heading down.

First Snow
The trees haven’t even lost all their leaves yet, in fact, our streets still looked like autumn yesterday. But this morning we woke up to snow. It’s only December 2nd. Does this mean we’re in for an extra cold winter? Ugh.

View out of our front window. It started snowing more after I took this picture.
